The beloved flavours of the famous Big Mac - that ineffable sauce, both sweet and tangy, mixed with delicious beef and that curious yet deeply sexy American cheese. The only thing that it isn't is deep fried, but all that is going to change with this recipe - a big mac inside an onion ring. Game changer.

Ingredients
  • 3 onions
  • 1.1 lb beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Slices of American cheese
  • Chopped pickles
  • 300g mayo
  • 2 tsp chopped pickles
  • 2 tsp mild mustard
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1½ tsp onion powder
  • 1½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 pinch white pepper
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
Instructions
  1. First cut the onions into three and separate the rings.
  2. Add the mince to the bowl and thoroughly mix in the salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  3. Press a small amount of the burger mix into an onion ring and top with a circle of cheese and sprinkle of chopped up gherkins.
  4. Press more mince on top to seal in the cheese.
  5. Dip each burger onion ring in the flour, then egg then panko. Re-dip in the egg and panko for an extra coat.
  6. Whisk up all the ingredients for the big mac sauce and set aside.
  7. Fry in 160°C oil for five minutes until crisp and cooked through.

Sloppy Joe Cheesesteak Hasselback Potatoes

Ingredients
  • 6 large potatoes
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 600g beef mince
  • 3 mixed peppers, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup mushrooms, diced
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • sliced provolone
Instructions
  1. Slice each of your potatoes at ½cm intervals almost down to the base of the potato. Dunk each in the olive oil, attempting to get as much of the oil in the gaps as possible. Pop into a skillet and season well with salt and pepper. Bake at 180°C for 1hr 20 mins.
  2. Meanwhile, make your sauce. Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Fry the beef mince, breaking it up with your hands as you go, in two batches, then set aside and drain any excess oil from the pan (leaving about 2 tbsp). Into the same pan, add your peppers, onions and mushrooms along with a good pinch of salt. Fry for 10 minutes or so, stirring frequently, until nicely caramelised and delicious. Return the beef to the pan and add the worcestershire sauce, beef stock, milk and another pinch of salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low, partially cover the pan with a lid and cook for 1-2 hours, or until the beef is soft. and the sauce has reduced.
  3. Spoon the beef mix over the potatoes and lay down the sliced provolone.
  4. Bake for 5-10 minutes, or until melted, oozy and awesome.

Chocolate Banana Pancake Dogs
Bananas and chocolate are a classic combination. These deep fried delicious chocolate bananas are delicious and super easy to make. Keep the bananas covered in chocolate ready in the freezer for whenever you're ready to make these sweet treats!

Ingredients
  • 3-4 Ripe bananas, cut in half
  • 300g dark chocolate melted
  • 1 cup pancake mix
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Icing sugar
  • Oil for frying
Instructions
  1. Dip a popsicle sticks in melted chocolate and then stick into each banana. Spoon over melted chocolate to coat each banana completely. Set on a parchment lined tray and place in the freezer to set for 30 minutes.
  2. Pre-heat oil in a heavy bottom pot for frying to 180ºC. Meanwhile make the pancake batter. Add eggs, water and oil to pancake mix and whisk until smooth.
  3. When chocolate is hardened, dip into the pancake batter to coat evenly. Make sure all the chocolate is covered. Fry until golden brown. Dust with icing sugar and serve.

These golden french toast nuggets are best served drizzled with maple syrup. For a special treat, serve them on top of your favourite ice cream!

Ingredients
  • 1 loaf bread, sliced into 1” slices
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Cinnamon sugar
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Cut all crusts off each slice of bread, and cut int 9 squares.
  2. In a bowl whisk together egg, milk, sugar and vanilla until combined. Toss each square of bread in the egg mixture to coat.
  3. Fry each square in a hot pan with butter an oil and be sure to fry each side until golden brown.
  4. Mix together ⅓ cup sugar and cinnamon to create cinnamon sugar. Toss all the French toast bites in the cinnamon sugar. Serve with maple syrup

Cheesy Chicken And Bacon Braid
Pizza dough, stuffed with chicken, cheese and bacon is what dreams are made of. Filled to the brim so you get a little in every bite!

Ingredients
  • 1½ cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 10 rashers bacon, chopped and cooked
  • 1 cup shredded cooked chicken
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 300g pizza dough
  • ½ cup garlic butter
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 400F (200C). Divide dough into 3, 100g balls.
  2. In a bowl mix together chicken, cheese, bacon and pepper
  3. On a floured surface, roll each ball into a tube. Roll to flatten Ito a long strip about 8".
  4. Add mixture down the middle. Bring edges up and pinch to seal well.
  5. Place three rolls together and pinch to attach and one end. Braid dough to form a plait. Place on a lined tray.
  6. Brush garlic butter evenly over top.
  7. Bake in oven for 20-30 minute until golden brown. Cover with foil if it browns too quickly.

Pizza Lasagna Pockets
Pizza or lasagna? Why not both! These lasagna parcels are simple and fun to make. They hold their shape well and are great portion sizes. Serve with a green salad for a complete meal!

Ingredients
  • 250g can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 8 par-cooked lasagna sheets
  • 2 cups bechamel
  • 2 cups gated mozzarella
  • Sliced Pepperoni
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 180c (350F). Lay one noodle down horizontally. Spread a thin layer of béchamel over top in the center in a square shape. Top with another lasagna noodle vertically covering the square of béchamel. Spread more béchamel to cover a square again and top with 2tbsp pizza sauce. Place approximately 9 pieces of pepperoni down and sprinkle over mozzarella evenly.
  2. Fold over left side first, then bottom, then right, then top piece and tuck in the top left corner under the top corner of the left side. Repeat with remaining noodles and mix. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Cover each with béchamel, pizza sauce mozzarella and pepperoni as shown in video.Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until bubbling and cooked.

Bacon Wrapped Pizza Stuffed Chicken
These bacon wrapped bundles of joy are beautiful to behold. Staggeringly simple but utterly delicious, the flavours of pizza in a well seasoned chicken roll - what more could you want?

Ingredients
  • 4 large chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 packet pizza pepperoni
  • 1 packet sliced mozzarella
  • Roughly 2 packs streaky bacon, stretched out with the blade of a knife
Instructions
  1. Place each chicken breast between clingfilm and bash them with a rolling pin to flatten them out, then season with salt, pepper and dried oregano.
  2. Spread each breast with pizza sauce and top with pepperoni and mozzarella, then roll up the breast and place on another sheet of clingfilm.
  3. Holding the edges roll it all up into a tight bundle then leave all four to chill in the fridge.
  4. Take one of the chicken parcels and place half the bacon out in a cross shape. Place the chicken parcel in the middle and fold over the sides to form a neat package.
  5. Bake at 180°C for around 50 minutes until cooked though. Serve with chips and salad.

Well, dear fans, we heard your call - here is a dish teeming with fresh vegetables without an ounce of cheddar or bacon in sight. We are kind.

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp groundnut oil
  • 2 lb sliced rump steak
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1½ tbsp Chinese five spice
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 5cm ginger, finely diced
  • 1½ cups beef stock
  • 3 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp water
  • Slaw
  • ¼ red cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 large carrot, finely shredded
  • 1 apple, finely shredded
  • 4 spring onions, sliced
  • 1 red chilli, sliced
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped coriander
Instructions
  1. Heat the oil in a large heavy bottomed frying pan and quickly fry the beef on a high heat.
  2. Remove from the pan and add a little more oil then turn the temperature down. Fry the sesame seeds for a bit then add the garlic and ginger and fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the stock and add the beef back in, bring to a simmer and cook gently until soft. If your beef is cut really thinly it'll take less time, but usually takes around an hour.
  4. Meanwhile make the slaw - mix it all together.
  5. Toast some buns and fill each with the beef then the slaw. Nom.

Giant Chicken Tikka Kebab
GIANT CHICKEN TIKKA KEBAB

Ingredients
  • 8-10 chicken breasts
  • 500ml greek yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp chilli powder
  • ½ tbsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp fine salt
  • 1 lemon, juice only
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic, grated
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • ½ onion, for the base of the skewer
Instructions
  1. Butterfly the chicken breasts. In a large bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients. Add the chicken to the marinade. Marinade for 2 hours.
  2. Push a skewer into the halved onion, cut side facing downwards. Place a large cookie cutter ring around the onion for stability.
  3. Skewer all of the chicken, changing the angle of the chicken as you build. Top with a half of lemon. Bake for 1 hour at 180°C.
  4. Slice and serve with naan bread, yoghurt and salad!

Cheesy Mashed Potato Dippers
CHEESEBURGER MASHED POTATO DIPPERS

Ingredients
  • 500g beef mince
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1½ tsp pepper
  • 10 Bacon rashers, cooked and chopped finely
  • ½ cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 6 cups mashed potato
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups seasoned breadcrumbs
  • ⅓ cup Sesame Seeds
  • Oil to fry
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl mix together beef mince, salt, pepper and garlic powder until combined. Take about 1-2 tbsp of mixture and flatten into mini patties. Repeat with remaining mix.
  2. Fry each beef patty in a bit of oil in a pan over medium heat until browned.
  3. Mix together mashed potatoes, grated cheddar, bacon,1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp pepper.
  4. Press mashed potato into a disk, add one patty and top with a slice of cheddar cheese. Wrap mash around and form into a disk. Chill for 30 minutes.
  5. Add sesame seeds to bread crumbs. Coat each disk in flour then egg then breadcrumbs.
  6. Shallow fry each disk until golden brown.
  7. Enjoy!
