  • 1 lb (455 g) ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ yellow onion, finely diced
  • ½ cup (60 g) bread crumbs
  • ½ cup (55 g) grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup (10 g) fresh parsley, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon oil, for cooking
  • 11 oz (310 g) pizza dough
  • ½ cup (130 g) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • olive oil, for brushing
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, egg, onion, bread crumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano.
  3. Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs.
  4. In a medium cast iron or nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
  5. Working in batches cook the meatballs until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
  6. On a sheet of parchment paper, press the pizza dough into a large circle, about 12 inches (30-cm) in diameter.
  7. Cut 8 evenly spaced 2-inch (5-cm) slits on the edge of the dough.
  8. Place one meatball on the edge of the dough between 2 slits. Pull the corners of the dough around the meatball and press into the dough, sealing the meatball in a dough pocket. Repeat with the remaining meatballs.
  9. With the help of a friend, transfer the pizza and parchment to a baking sheet.
  10. Spoon marinara sauce into the middle of the pizza and spread evenly.
  11. Sprinkle mozzarella over the sauce, or add your favorite pizza toppings! Brush the dough around the meatballs with olive oil.
  12. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the dough is golden and just cooked through.
  13. Slice with a pizza cutter and serve.

  • 1 rack baby back ribs, halved
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 pound green beans
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 275˚F/140˚C.
  2. Season the ribs with salt, black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, oregano, and brown sugar. Rub in the seasonings evenly on both sides.
  3. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil. Cover the ribs with foil and bake for 2 hours.
  4. Increase the oven temperature to 500˚F/260˚C.
  5. Carefully uncover the ribs. Spread BBQ sauce evenly on top of the ribs.
  6. Place green beans on the sides of the pan. Season the green beans with salt.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes.
  8. Transfer the ribs to a cutting board.
  9. Cut between the bones to separate into individual ribs. Serve with green beans.

Ingredients
  • 6 flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 3 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 large white onion, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 lb (910 g) rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 10 slices cheddar cheese, halved
  • 10 slices pepper jack cheese, halved
  • sour cream, for serving
  • guacamole, for serving
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350˚F (180˚C). Grease a bundt pan with nonstick spray.
  2. Invert a 3-inch (8-cm) diameter bowl in the center of two tortillas. Use a knife to cut around the bowl and discard the centers.
  3. Invert a 2-inch (5-cm) diameter bowl in the center of two tortillas. Use a knife to cut around the bowl and discard the centers.
  4. Invert a 1½-inch (4-cm) diameter bowl in the center of one tortilla. Use a knife to cut around the bowl and discard the center.
  5. Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bell peppers and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the onion and toss to combine.
  6. Add the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and salt. Toss to combine.
  7. Add the chicken and cook until the onions are translucent and the chicken is warmed through.
  8. Place one of the tortillas with the 3-inch (8-cm) hole on the bottom of the greased bundt pan. Arrange a layer of cheddar cheese slices around the tortilla.
  9. Stack the second tortilla with a 3-inch (8-cm) hole over the cheese layer. Top the tortilla with half of the fajita mixture.
  10. Layer one of the tortillas with a 2-inch (5-cm) hole on top of the fajita layer. Top with a layer of Pepper Jack cheese.
  11. Layer the second tortilla with a 2-inch (5-cm) hole on top of the Pepper Jack layer. Add the remaining fajita mixture.
  12. Layer the tortilla with a 1½-inch (4-cm) hole and top with the remaining cheddar and Pepper Jack.
  13. Layer the last tortilla on top of the last cheese layer.
  14. Cover the top of the bundt pan with a 12-inch (30 ½-cm) round cake pan or aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  15. Let cool for at least 30 minutes.
  16. Invert the bundt pan onto a cutting board.
  17. Slice the Chicken Fajita Party Ring and top with sour cream. Serve with guacamole.

  • 1 cup (230 g) butter, melted
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup (10 g) fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups (300 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 cups (300 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 10 slices deli ham, halved
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out pizza dough into an 18x10-inch (45x25-cm) rectangle.
  3. In a bowl, combine butter, garlic, parsley, and salt. Use a spatula to spread an even layer of the mixture over the dough.
  4. Sprinkle a generous handful of mozzarella and cheddar cheese in a square checkerboard pattern across the dough, making 20 squares.
  5. Place a piece of ham over each section of cheese.
  6. Cut the dough into 20 evenly sized squares and stack four on top of each other, alternating cheeses as you go. There will be five stacks of four.
  7. Place stacks in an 8½x4½-inch (21x11-cm) bread pan.
  8. Bake for 35 minutes.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup (60 g) peanut butter
  • 3 ½ teaspoons whole milk, divided
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, divided
  • ¼ cup (40 g) powdered sugar, plus 2 tablespoons, divided
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 1 ¼ cups (75 g) whipped cream, divided
  • 14 chocolate sandwich cookies, divided
  • 2.5 oz (70 g) pudding mix, chocolate, 1 package
  • 1 ½ cups (360 mL) whole milk, cold
  • 2 cups (340 g) milk chocolate, melted
  • 2 cups (340 g) white chocolate, melted
  • 2 cups (340 g) dark chocolate, melted
GARNISH
  • chopped nuts
  • 4 mini peanut butter cups
  • 12 raspberries
  • fresh mint leaf
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT
  • 12 popsicle sticks
Instructions
  1. Please be aware, you have to place the ice cube right in the chocolate as soon as you're able to remove it from its slot otherwise it will start to melt and the chocolate will not adhere.
  2. Fill a 12-cup muffin tin with water.
  3. Place a popsicle stick into each muffin cup.
  4. Freeze until solid.
  5. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, peanut butter, 1½ teaspoons milk, ¼ teaspoon vanilla, ¼ cup powdered sugar, and salt until smooth.
  6. Fold in ¼ cup of whipped cream with spatula. Set aside.
  7. Separate the cream from 12 chocolate sandwich cookies into a separate medium bowl.
  8. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons powdered sugar, remaining 2 teaspoons milk, and remaining ¼ teaspoon vanilla to the bowl with the cream filling. Whisk until well-combined.
  9. Fold in the remaining cup of whipped cream with a spatula. Set aside.
  10. Transfer the cookies to a zip-top bag and break into crumbs with a rolling pin. Set aside.
  11. In a small bowl, combine the chocolate pudding mix and cold milk. Whisk for 2 minutes, then let sit for 3 minutes, until the pudding thickens.
  12. Remove the muffin tin from the freezer. Give the ice a minute to melt down just enough to remove each ice mold from the muffin cups.
  13. Dip 4 of the ice discs into the melted milk chocolate, making sure not to fully submerge the ice disc. Set the chocolate-dipped ice discs onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate. Dip 4 of the ice discs in the melted white chocolate, and the remaining 4 discs in the melted dark chocolate.
  14. Once the chocolate has set, give the ice discs a minute to melt down slightly. Wiggle the ice disc out of the chocolate to reveal hollow chocolate cups.
  15. Pipe the peanut butter mousse into the milk chocolate cups. Top with chopped nuts and a mini peanut butter cup.
  16. Sprinkle chocolate sandwich cookie crumbs on the bottom of the white chocolate cups. Pipe the cookie cream filling on top of the crumbs. Garnish with more cookie crumbs and half of a chocolate sandwich cookie.
  17. Pipe the chocolate pudding mixture into the dark chocolate cups. Top each one with 3 raspberries and fresh mint leaves.

  • 5 bananas
  • ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil, plus more for frying
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ½ cups (185 g) flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • powdered sugar, for sprinkling
  • chocolate, melted, for dipping
  • caramel sauce, for dipping
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT
  • popsicle stick
Instructions
  1. Peel the bananas and slice off the tops and bottoms to create a straighter middle section. Save ends for later.
  2. Insert a popsicle stick into the middle of each banana and place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  3. Freeze the bananas until solid, about 1 hour.
  4. In a medium bowl, mash the banana ends with a fork until smooth.
  5. Add the sugar, vanilla, oil, and egg. Mix until combined.
  6. Add the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix again until smooth.
  7. In a large pot, heat the oil to 325°F (170°C). Place a wire rack inside a baking sheet and line with paper towels.
  8. Pour the banana bread batter into a tall glass.
  9. When the oil is hot, dip one of the frozen bananas into the batter until completely covered. Keep the rest of the bananas frozen until ready to fry.
  10. Fry the bananas, one at a time, until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer the fried bananas to the towel-lined rack as they are done.
  11. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with melted chocolate and caramel sauce for dipping.

Ingredients
MARINADE
  • 120 g (¼ lb) chicken breast, diced
  • ½ lemon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
CHICKEN BREADING
  • 50 g (½ cup) flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 50 g (1 cup) panko breadcrumbs
  • 500 mL (2 cups) oil
LEMON SAUCE
  • 60 mL (¼ cup) chicken stock
  • ½ lemon lemon zest
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • ½ tablespoon corn flour
Instructions
  1. Combine all marinade ingredients with the chicken breast and leave for 20 minutes.
  2. Coat the chicken breast first in flour, then eggs, and finally panko breadcrumbs.
  3. In a medium-sized saucepan heat the oil to 170°C (325˚F).
  4. Deep fry the breaded chicken for about 3-4 minutes until the coating is golden brown.
  5. In a small frying pan, combine the chicken stock, lemon juice, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  6. Mix the corn flour with the water, then add the mixture to the frying pan to thicken the sauce.
  7. Add the chicken to the frying pan and coat with the lemon sauce.
  8. Serve on top of rice. (We garnished ours with green onions and sesame seeds.)

  • round sourdough loaf
  • 250 g (8 oz) camembert cheese
  • 75 g (⅓ cup) butter, melted
  • 10 g (⅓ cup) fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 150 g (½ cup) bacon, cooked, chopped
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Slice the camembert into thick matchsticks.
  3. Make deep, thick slits into the bread without cutting all the way through, about 90% down is good.
  4. Rotate the bread 90° and make more cuts, 90% through again, creating little sticks of bread that are all held together by the crust at the bottom.
  5. Combine the butter, parsley and garlic.
  6. Stuff camembert in between the bread sticks.
  7. Drop the cooked bacon bits over the bread, pushing some of them down into the cracks.
  8. Drizzle butter evenly over the bread.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes until the camembert is melted and the top of the bread is crusty.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 800 g (28 oz) diced tomato, can
  • 5 large eggs
  • fresh parsley, chopped, to serve
  • bread, to serve
Instructions
  1. In a large cast-iron skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic and onions, cooking until the onions are translucent and the garlic is starting to slightly brown.
  3. Add the spices and harissa paste, cooking the spices until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add the tomatoes and tomato paste and cook for about 10-15 minutes until the sauce has thickened to the point where pressing down with a spoon leaves an indent that holds its shape.
  5. Taking the back of a large spoon, make 5 large indents into the sauce, using a left-to-right wiggling motion to ensure that the “walls” of the sauce are tall enough to hold an egg.
  6. Crack the eggs into each of the indents, then cook over low heat for about 15-20 minutes until the eggs are cooked to your liking.
  7. NOTE: To speed the process up, cover the skillet with a large lid.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped parsley, remove from heat, and serve with crusty bread to mop up all the sauce.

Ingredients
  • 32 sheets dumpling wrappers
FILLING
  • 3.5 oz (100 g) shrimp
  • 3.5 oz (100 g) ground pork
  • 1 oz (25 g) chinese chive, minced
  • 2 teaspoons sake
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • salt
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • ⅓ cup (80 mL) water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
DUMPLING SAUCE
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • chili oil, to taste
Instructions
  1. Roughly chop the shrimp.
  2. Combine ground pork, shrimp, sake, sugar, and salt in a medium bowl. Mix with your hands until well-combined.
  3. Add the soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and Chinese chives. Mix well.
  4. Apply water on the right edge of a dumpling wrapper, then layer on 3 more wrappers.
  5. Scoop a spoonful of filling onto the middle of each dumpling wrapper.
  6. Make a flower shape: wet the top edges of the dumpling wrappers and fold the dumplings half from top to bottom, then roll up from left to right.
  7. Apply water to the end and seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  8. Heat a bit of oil in a medium pan over medium heat and lay the dumplings in a single layer. Cook for 2 minutes.
  9. When the dumplings start to brown on the bottoms, pour in the water and cover.
  10. Steam for 10 minutes.
  11. Take off the lid and pour the sesame oil in the pan.
  12. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 3 minutes, until dumpling wrappers are crispy.
  13. Combine the vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil to taste in a small bowl.
  14. Enjoy!
