Homemade Dumplings 3 Ways

Ingredients
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1¼ cups warm water
  • 2 cups red cabbage
  • 2 cups green onions, sliced
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • ½ pound ground pork
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup mushrooms, diced
  • ¾ cup carrots, diced
  • ½ pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Sauce
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
  1. Combine the flour, salt, and warm water and mix until well combined.
  2. Roll out dough on a floured surface and knead until smooth.
  3. Separate the dough into 4 equal parts.
  4. Roll out the piece into a thin log and divide into 6 or 8 pieces depend on the size of dumplings you want.
  5. Lightly flour the divided piece of dough and roll out piece to a thin circle roughly 4-inches in diameter.
  6. Keep the dumpling wrappers separated with parchment paper, and repeat with remaining dough.
  7. Combine cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil and mix until well incorporated.
  8. For the pork filling, combine the ground pork with salt, pepper and 1 cup of the cabbage mixture and stir until well incorporated.
  9. For the veggie filling combine mushrooms and carrot and microwave for 3 minutes, until soft. Add 1 cup of the cabbage mixture and stir until well incorporated.
  10. For the shrimp filling, combine shrimp with 1 cup of the cabbage mixture and stir until well incorporated.
  11. To assembly dumplings, add roughly 1 heaping tablespoon of filling into the center of a dumpling wrapper.
  12. With your finger lightly coat 1 half of the outside of the wrapper with water.
  13. Seal the dumplings using your prefered method.
  14. With pleating, start from one side and pleat the half of the dumpling closest to you, keeping the other half still.
  15. Heat oil on medium high in a pan and add a few dumplings, cooking them in batches.
  16. Once the bottom of the dumplings start to brown, add in a splash of water and cover with a lid.
  17. Steam for roughly 5 minutes, or until dumplings are cooked and water has evaporated.

Ingredients
  • 1 Edwards® Georgia Style Pecan Pie, frozen
  • 1 Edwards® Pumpkin Crème Pie, frozen
  • 2 boxes yellow cake mix, plus additions listed on the package for preparation
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • Pumpkin Spiced Pecans (optional for garnish)
  • 1½ cups pecan halves
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • Whipped Cream (to frost)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Spray two (10-inch) pie pans with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Prepare one box yellow cake mix according to package directions. Scoop about 1½ cups of the batter into one of the pie pans.
  4. Invert the pecan pie into the pie pan. Cover with remaining cake batter.
  5. Prepare the second box of cake batter according to package instruction. Repeat the process of adding 1½ cups of batter into the second prepared pie pan.
  6. Invert the pumpkin creme pie into the pie pan on top of the batter and cover with remaining cake batter.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is no longer jiggling. Cool completely.
  8. Whip the heavy cream in a mixing bowl until it forms soft peaks. Fold in sugar and whip to combine.
  9. Spread a layer of whipped cream on the bottom cooled cake layer. Top with the second cake layer and frost with remaining whipped cream.
  10. Toss the pecans with melted butter. Add the brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Toss to coat. Bake about 5-7 minutes, until lightly toasted. Cool completely.
  11. Garnish the frosted cake with spiced pecans and pumpkin pie spice.

Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars
These pumpkin cheesecake bars have the most beautiful layers ?!

Ingredients
  • 10 graham crackers, crushed
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 32 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 15 oz pumpkin puree, 1 can
Crumble Topping
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325˚F (160˚C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed graham cracker and butter. Stir until mixture develops a wet sand texture.
  3. Cover the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch (23x33 cm) baking pan with mixture and spread evenly. Chill.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, eggs, vanilla, and sugar. Stir until mixture is smooth.
  5. Pour half of the cheesecake batter into the chilled baking pan and freeze, smoothing the top.
  6. With the remaining half of batter, add in pumpkin puree and stir until incorporated.
  7. Spoon on pumpkin cheesecake mixture to frozen cheesecake mixture and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes.
  9. In a mixing bowl, combine butter, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir until all ingredients are evenly incorporated and mixture develops a wet sand texture.
  10. Top cheesecake with crumble topping and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
  11. Allow cheesecake to cool at room temperature. For best results refrigerate overnight once completely cooled.

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves chopped garlic
  • 8 ounces baby spinach
  • Salt & pepper
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for topping
  • 24 King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls
  • Garlic Butter
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 clove finely chopped garlic
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375℉/190℃.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil and garlic. Sauté the garlic about 1 minute before adding the spinach.
  3. Stir the spinach and cook until wilted. Season with salt and pepper. Squeeze some of the water out of the spinach.
  4. In a small mixing bowl, stir together the cream cheese, spinach mixture, and the cheeses. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cut a small square out of the top of each King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls. (Do not separate the rolls; leave them connected so final product can be pulled apart).
  6. Fill a pastry bag or plastic food storage bag with the spinach filling.
  7. Fill each roll with the spinach filling.
  8. Combine the melted butter and chopped garlic clove. Brush liberally over the top of the filled rolls. Sprinkle some additional parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake 8-12 minutes, or until the rolls become lightly browned and toasted.

PUMPKIN BREAD
  • 1 ¾ cups pumpkin puree
  • 2 egg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
CHEESECAKE
  • 24 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla until combined.
  3. Sift in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Using a wooden spoon, mix together until just combined. Be careful to not overmix.
  4. Lightly coat a spring form pan with nonstick cooking spray, and pour batter into the pan, spreading an even layer.
  5. Bake for 35-45 minutes until center comes out clean when tested. Allow to cool completely in the pan.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together cream cheese, sugar, pumpkin spice, and vanilla extract.
  7. Add in whipping cream and beat for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  8. Spread cheesecake mixture onto the cooled pumpkin bread, spreading evenly. Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours before serving.
  9. Cut and serve.

Ingredients
  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken thigh
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 6 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 2 cups shredded gruyère cheese
  • bread, sliced and toasted, to serve
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, add the chicken thighs, salt, pepper, garlic, dried parsley, and olive oil, and toss until evenly coated.
  2. Add the chicken to a skillet on medium-high heat. Sear until golden brown, about 4 minutes. Flip and cook the other side of the chicken, 2 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  3. Preheat oven to broil.
  4. Add the butter, sliced onions, salt, and pepper to the same pan, stirring occasionally until softened. Reduce heat to low and cook until they are deeply caramelized, about 1 hour.
  5. Add thyme and beef broth and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Add the chicken on top of the onions, and sprinkle with Gruyère cheese.
  7. Broil for 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  8. Serve over bread.
  9. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 3 russet potato
  • 6 strips bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 egg
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chive, chopped
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400˚F (200˚C).
  2. On a cutting board, peel potatoes then cut each in half widthwise.
  3. Using a melon ball scooper or a metal teaspoon hollow out the potato starting from the cut side, once you have most of the potato hollowed out from that side create a smaller hole on the rounded side and continue hollowing until you can see through the potato.
  4. Place potatoes in water to avoid discoloration while you finish hollowing out the rest.
  5. Place potatoes with the smaller hole facing up on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  6. Wrap one piece of bacon and each potato, tucking in the end of the bacon so it stays in place. You might need to use a toothpick to hold the bacon in place.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, or until bacon reaches desired crispiness.
  8. Allow potatoes to cool slightly then press cheddar cheese into the bottom of the potato.
  9. Crack an egg over the top hole of the potato being careful not to let too much of the egg white pour over the side.
  10. Sprinkle chives over the egg.
  11. Bake for 6 to 12 minutes depending on how well done you would like your eggs.
  12. Let cool before serving.
  13. Enjoy!

These chicken asparagus twists are such a yummy appetizer! ?

Ingredients
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon salt, divided
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 tablespoons lemon juice, divided
  • 6 strips bacon
  • 12 stalks asparagus, ends trimmed
  • 1 cup greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400˚F (200˚C).
  2. On a cutting board, slice chicken lengthwise into 1-inch (2 cm) thick slices. Take each slice of chicken and cut it in half lengthwise leaving about 1 inch (2 cm) uncut on one end of the strip.
  3. Cut off part of the uncut end of the chicken so you do not have a thick spot in the middle of your longer chicken strip.
  4. Place chicken strips in a bowl. Add ½ teaspoon salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and 3 tablespoons lemon juice and mix to combine.
  5. Transfer to the refrigerator.
  6. On a cutting board, slice each piece of bacon lengthwise creating 12 strips in total.
  7. Wrap the cut strip of bacon around the asparagus.
  8. Wrap a marinated chicken strip around the bacon-wrapped asparagus. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  9. Place each bacon chicken asparagus twist on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 10 minutes.
  11. Turn up the heat to broil, and broil for 10 minutes. Flip the twists over, and broil for an additional ten minutes.
  12. In a bowl add the Greek yogurt parsley, dill, ½ teaspoon salt, and 3 tablespoons lemon juice. Stir until well combined.
  13. Remove bacon asparagus twists from baking sheet, and let cool. Serve with herb yogurt dipping sauce.

Ingredients
  • Fish
  • 1½ pounds flounder
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup cornmeal
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
Instructions
  1. 1.Cut fish into 1-inch cubes. Soak the fish in the milk in a bowl.
  2. 2.In a bowl, mix together the cornmeal, flour, salt, garlic powder, pepper, paprika, and cayenne. Drain fish from the milk. Toss fish in cornmeal mixture until evenly coated.
  3. 3.Heat oil in a cast iron pan. When oil has reached 350ºF/180°C, fry the fish cubes until golden brown all over, about 2 minutes on each side. Drain fish on paper towels.
  4. 4.Coleslaw: Whisk together mayo, sugar, apple cider vinegar, salt, onion powder, and celery seeds. Mix dressing with the cabbage and carrots until completely coated.
  5. To assemble: Place a few pieces of fish on a tortilla. Top with coleslaw and jalapeños. Serve with lemon wedges.

Ingredients
CRUMBLE
  • ½ cup butter, cold and cubed
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup flour
BLONDIES
  • 1 ¼ cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 apple, cored, seeded, and diced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350˚F (180˚C).
  2. In a bowl, add the butter, brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon and flour. Use a fork incorporate all of the ingredients until a coarse crumb forms. Chill until ready to use.
  3. In a bowl, add the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and baking soda, stir to combine.
  4. In a large bowl, add the butter, sugar, and maple syrup. Whisk until fully incorporated,
  5. Add the egg and vanilla to the bowl with the butter and mix until fully incorporated.
  6. Add half of the flour mixture, and mix until just combined. Add the second half of the flour mixture and mix until there are streaks of flour still showing, making sure to not overmix.
  7. Pour the lemon juice over the apples then gently fold the apples into the batter.
  8. Spread batter evenly into a greased 9-inch (23 cm) square cake pan.
  9. Sprinkle crumble mixture over the top, creating different size crumble pieces by squeezing some small clumps together in your hands for varying texture.
  10. Bake for 25 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean, cover with foil the last 5 minutes to prevent the top from over baking.
  11. Let cool for about 20 minutes, slice and serve.
